Shropshire-born baritone Peter Edge is an Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Rising Star. Winner of the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and John Kerr Award for English Song, runner-up of the London Bach Singers Prize, and finalist of the International Handel Singing Competition, he has also been a principal artist with English Touring Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, The Grange Festival, Hampstead Garden Opera, and Opera North. Peter made his role debut with The Royal Opera in the 2024/25 Season in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti/A Quiet Place and returned to perform in Verdi’s Aida. Future roles include Barone Douphol in Verdi’s La Traviata and covering Frank in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus with The Grange Festival, the bass solos in Mozart’s Requiem with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain at Sinfonia Smiths Square and the bass solos in Mendelssohn’s Die erste Walpurgisnacht on a European tour with The Constellation Choir and Orchestras.
